How can i preview a Divx movie with this?? - This is what most of you ask all the time. -- THIS WILL WORK ONLY IF YOU ALREADY INSTALLED THE DIVX CODEC AND PLAYER!! You can find it here. -- Just roll the mouse over an item in eMule, notice the XXX.part.met number (see below for a picture), launch PreMule, select it from the list on the right, then make sure the ".: Force DivX read" is checked and click on the "Preview with DivX Player" button. It may take some time to load (up to 3 minutes...) so please be patient meanwhile.
How come i can't make a single file to work?? - PreMule works on most of mp3, standard avi, mpeg, mpg and other files. Unfortunately there are some files that the standard media player (Windows Media Player) can not preview all the times. Xvid, some divx and wmv files for example. This largely depends on the file itself, your multimedia player, the codec you have and which part you already downloaded. To increase significantly the rate of previewable files you should consider opening the temp files with the relative correct tool. For example if you are trying to preview a divx file you should be able to see it by using the DivX Player. You can bypass Windows Media Player by setting a new player as the default one or checking the ".: Don't open, Just create the temp file." check box before clicking on the preview button. This will prevent PreMule from launching the default media player and allows you to locate the file manually (check the ".: eMule temp directory" link).
How can i say the number of the .met file from eMule?? - Just roll your mouse over a file, hold it still and let the hint panel pop up. Read the filename, pick the correct one. Take a look at the picture below...

Changes List for 2011.09.22 - After losing the source code a couple of years ago (well actually no big deal huh!?) and due to pressing unsolicited web demand i edited an old 2006 version adding folder browsing and a couple of fixes (out of bounds, registry reading and promo textfile writing --which was wiped).
Changes List for 2008.v1 - Now you can save your custom folders to a configuration file, so that you don't have to manually select folders at startup (great in Vista).
Changes List for v2006.11.27 - Fixed a bug which didn't allow you to view part files with automatic folder browsing enabled.
Changes List for v2006.11.26 - Now premule can browse for TEMP and INCOMING folders.
